We are looking for an Individual Giving and Partnerships Manager to join ILGA-Europe on an open-ended contract and drive our efforts in supporter mobilisation, individual giving, and private sector partnerships.
This role is for someone who is both a strategist and a builder: someone who can design a supporter engagement and giving programme from the ground up, spot the moments in our advocacy, movement building, and campaigning work that move people to act, and turn them into compelling opportunities to give, mobilise and belong.
The Individual Giving and Partnerships Manager will contribute directly to this work, with a particular focus on building a broad supporter base and mobilising resources to sustain this work.
ILGA-Europe staff are based in Brussels and work closely with activists and organisations across the region. We value collaboration, shared learning, and creative approaches to supporting social change.
As the postholder, you will contribute to ILGA-Europe’s work advancing the rights of LGBTI people and supporting LGBTI movements in Europe and Central Asia, by building a strong and committed supporter base whose engagement and giving strengthen the resourcing, independence and resilience of our work.
You will:
- develop and own ILGA-Europe’s strategy for supporter engagement and individual giving, including the systems, processes and frameworks needed to deliver it;
- work closely with colleagues from other teams to identify and activate political moments from our advocacy, campaigning and movement-building work – such as legislative milestones, campaign launches, case work, and Rainbow Map releases – as timely, compelling entry points for supporter engagement and giving;
- design and manage supporter journeys that move people from first engagement to regular financial support, covering acquisition, welcome, stewardship, retention and reactivation;
- plan and deliver a calendar of email and digital fundraising campaigns, continuously testing and optimising content, donation pages and supporter segments to improve results;
- oversee the development and management of a CRM/fundraising system, in collaboration with the Finance and Administration Team, ensuring effective tracking, segmentation and reporting, and smooth processing of recurring gifts;
- identify, cultivate and maintain a targeted portfolio of corporate partnerships and professional networks – including employee resource groups (ERGs) and Pride workplace chapters – as sources of strategic cooperation, peer-to-peer fundraising and in-kind support;
- coordinate the organisation of fundraising events, including the annual European Equality Fundraiser;
- support capacity-building on individual and digital fundraising within ILGA-Europe’s membership, in conjunction with the Programmes Team;
- work closely with communications, finance, policy and programmes colleagues to ensure supporter-facing narratives are accurate, politically sensitive and compelling.
The role requires a proactive and collaborative approach to building connections across teams, and a firm commitment to fundraising approaches that are ethical, consistent with ILGA-Europe’s values, and non-extractive in their relationship with member organisations and the wider LGBTI movement.
