The Operations Lead – OT Infrastructure is expected to:
Take end-to-end ownership of OT infrastructure operations and service stability.
Ensure critical plant / industrial infrastructure is maintained with minimal disruption.
Manage incidents with urgency and strong coordination across technical towers.
Enforce strict change governance in production-sensitive OT environments.
Work effectively with plant operations, engineering, IT, cybersecurity, and vendors.
Improve visibility of operational risks, aging assets, recurring issues, and pending dependencies.
Maintain strong documentation, process discipline, and escalation governance.
Drive service quality, operational consistency, and infrastructure resilience across OT environments.
Required Skills and Experience
Technical / Functional Knowledge
Good understanding of OT infrastructure environments supporting industrial or plant operations.
Experience in managing infrastructure operations covering combinations of:industrial servers
Windows/Linux systems in OT environments

Role Summary
The Operations Lead – Senior Network & Network Security Engineer is responsible for end-to-end L3 support and operational management of enterprise network and network security infrastructure, with strong hands-on expertise in Cisco networking and Palo Alto firewalls. The role requires advanced troubleshooting ability across routing, switching, firewalling, VPN, and service availability domains, along with incident leadership, change execution governance, stakeholder management, and service improvement ownership.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Technical Operations – Network
Provide L3 support for enterprise network infrastructure including:
Cisco routers
switches
WAN/LAN environments
datacenter connectivity
branch connectivity
Troubleshoot advanced network issues involving:
routing
switching
VLANs
trunking

link flaps

Support network changes, cutovers, migrations, and service onboarding.
Analyze network utilization, port issues, interface errors, and performance degradation.
Technical Operations – Network Security
Provide L3 support for Palo Alto network security environment.
Handle security rule changes, NAT, VPN, policy tuning, traffic flow analysis, and security troubleshooting.
Troubleshot firewall impact to application communication and internet/intranet access.
Support Panorama-managed environments and policy governance.
Coordinate implementation and review of security controls in line with operational and security standards.
End-to-End Service Troubleshooting
Perform deep-dive troubleshooting across both network and firewall layers to isolate service-impacting issues quickly.
Conduct packet-level analysis and path validation where required.
Coordinate with ISPs, carriers, cloud teams, datacenter teams, and application teams during issue resolution.
Support hybrid connectivity use cases involving WAN, internet breakout, VPN, and cloud-connected services.

Incident / Problem / Change Management
Lead P1/P2 incident handling for network and network security services.
Act as technical escalation point for complex outages and recurring service degradation.
Conduct root cause analysis and define corrective/preventive actions.
Review and implement planned changes with proper validation, business impact assessment, and rollback planning.
Ensure service restoration checks and change completion records are properly maintained.
Operations Lead Responsibilities
Manage operational activities across network and network security domain.
Drive ticket review, escalation management, SLA compliance, and issue prioritization.
Provide technical guidance to L1/L2 engineers and support knowledge transfer.
Participate in service reviews and present incident trends, operational risks, and remediation updates.
Coordinate with customers, project teams, OEM support, and internal support towers.
Governance / Documentation / Continuous Improvement
Maintain and update:
SOPs

firewall rule/process documentation

Ensure environment changes follow governance and security review processes.
Identify opportunities for network optimization, rule cleanup, process standardization, and service improvement.
Support audit/compliance and vulnerability/hardening initiatives relevant to network infrastructure and security estate.
