We develop and manufacture coated granules and synthetic resin flooring systems for professional installers based in over 50 countries. As a medium-sized SME with 40 employees, we have grown to become the standard for colouring and mixing granulates for plastic floor and wall systems. We do not handle installation ourselves. The development and production of coated granulates and synthetic resin flooring systems for professional installers is our DNA. We aim to further strengthen this position through a more intensive commercial approach both at home and abroad, and by renewing our product range.
What will a typical day look like?
80% business development
- Drive new business growth across Germany, Austria and Switzerland by identifying, targeting and converting prospects into clients.
- Build, develop and maintain a sustainable sales pipeline.
- Identify new market opportunities within your region.
- Qualify inbound leads generated through marketing campaigns.
- Cold calling, both on your own initiative and based on a provided list of potential customers.
- Present our company, products and systems to potential clients.
- Prepare partnership proposals.
- Support the introduction of new products, systems and brands within your region.
- Gather market intelligence, customer feedback and competitive insights, and translate these into actionable recommendations for the internal commercial team.
- Collaborate closely with customer service and internal sales colleagues.
- Consistently achieve agreed sales targets.
20% account management
- Manage and grow an existing portfolio of clients across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, ranging from SME installers to large industrial flooring contractors and landscaping specialists.
- Build long-term relationships with clients and develop them into loyal partners and recurring buyers.
- Be the trusted technical commercial advisor for your clients by understanding their business needs and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Conduct regular face-to-face customer visits to strengthen relationships.
- Drive account growth through cross-selling, upselling and the introduction of new products and systems.
- Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations and training sessions.
- Support clients throughout their entire customer journey and coordinate internally when complex technical questions, service issues or complaints arise.
- Offer support for large scale client projects.
- Construction site visits when handling complaints.
- Maintain accurate customer records within the CRM platform.
- Report directly to the commercial manager.
- You are looking for a full-time contract on our payroll.
- You have at least 5 years of experience with hunting and farming in Germany or the DACH region.
- You are fluent in German and have at least a moderate knowledge of English.
- You are located in Germany. Your location is strategic, the region of Düsseldorf, Köln or Essen will serve you very well in your travels.
- You love to travel and have no issues moving between Germany, Switzerland and Belgium on a regular basis. 80% of your time will be spent in Germany, about 15% of your time in Belgium and 5% of your time in Switzerland and Austria.
- You are passionate about technical sales and love the challenge of hunting and farming.
- You have a data driven mindset and understand that getting data driven insights requires the necessary discipline on your end. We are working hard to automate this as much as possible.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM is a plus.
- We are happy to invest in your development through a comprehensive onboarding and training programme. We expect you to be willing to put in some self-study hours the first few months to get the hang of it. The training programme will hone your commercial, digital and technical skills.
