Your role
We are looking for you who are currently studying or have recently completed a degree at university level in fields such as political science, EU studies, law, economics or similar.
The internship begins in September 2026 and lasts for six months. You will be based at Saab’s Brussels office. The work is fast-paced, where developments in the external environment are rapidly translated into analysis and strategic input. We welcome new perspectives, analytical sharpness, and a genuine interest in European and transatlantic security policy.
The Brussels office serves as a central hub for Saab’s work on EU and NATO defense cooperation, industrial initiatives, and transatlantic security issues. We also contribute to strengthening Saab’s position and brand by communicating the company’s role in European and allied security.
As an intern, you will have a unique opportunity to work closely with current policy processes within the EU and NATO. You will:
Monitor, track, and analyze political initiatives within the EU’s defense dimension as well as NATO’s work and partnerships
Conduct research on institutions and relevant stakeholders in the Brussels environment
Produce analyses, policy briefs, and fact-based memos on current legislative proposals, strategies, and security policy developments
Contribute to external monitoring and internal information sharing
Your profile
We are looking for someone who:
Is currently studying, or has recently completed a degree at university level in fields such as political science, EU studies, law, economics, or similar
Has a strong interest in EU policy, NATO, defense, and security
Has a good understanding of EU and/or NATO institutions and decision-making processes (experience from Brussels is an advantage)
Has excellent command of English and Swedish, both spoken and written (additional EU languages are a plus)
Has strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex information into clear, structured material
Is self-driven, curious, and thrives in an international and dynamic environment
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite is required.
