We are seeking a candidate based in Belgium to take ownership of driving sales performance across a defined district and to manage key customer and partner relationships within the Benelux region.
This role will focus on expanding our Power Transmission and Fluid Power product portfolio, playing a key role in both sustaining existing business and identifying new growth opportunities. You will be responsible for developing untapped accounts, strengthening strategic partnerships, and increasing our presence across core industrial markets.
A strong emphasis will be placed on building a robust sales pipeline, actively developing end-user opportunities, and maintaining close alignment with market trends and competitive activity. Success in this role will come from consistent execution of commercial strategies, effective collaboration with internal teams, and a proactive, opportunity-driven approach to achieving sustainable growth.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets and grow market share.
- Promote Gates' products across designated markets.
- Manage key accounts, building strong, long-term relationships.
- Identify new business opportunities and maintain a robust prospect pipeline.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to secure profitable business.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored customer solutions.

- You will be responsible for selling Gates' products within a defined geographic area. You will research customer needs and effectively develop applications for products and services to support market strategies and objectives for each offering.
- You will take ownership in addressing communication, trust, and relationship-related concerns, making every effort to resolve issues professionally. You will implement strategies to drive growth of existing products, new product introductions, and entry into new markets.
- You will monitor the competitive environment to identify opportunities and define appropriate actions to address competition. You will have primary accountability for performance and revenue results within your territory, as well as additional responsibility for strategic initiatives, while managing established accounts in the assigned geographic area.
- 5-7 years of experience
- Requires technical degree and or practical hands on engineering experience and or commercial abilities with experience in the same type of function, preferably manufacturing / power transmission / fluid power/ industrial / distribution experience.
- Must be fluent in English and Dutch and other language skills would be an advantage
- A good standard of Microsoft Office PC /IT skills are required. CRM knowledge is desirable.
- Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills, good technical background and be able to use Gates' technical data to make drive calculations and recommendations.
- Excellent follow-up skills are required.
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently.
- Needs to possess ability to organize activities and be able to manage and function well during times of unexpected events.
- Must be self-directed, self-motivated and able to work and make decisions with guidelines and limited direction.
