Translate commercial power and cooling requirements into detailed engineering designs and technical specifications. Ensure technical implementation meets performance commitments and certification standards.
Technical Design & Engineering
- Develop detailed electrical and thermal designs for power and cooling modules
- Specify component selection, system sizing and integration requirements
- Create technical documentation, drawings and specifications for manufacturing
- Ensure designs meet relevant certification standards (IP rating, electrical code, thermal performance)
Product Development Interface
- Translate Prod 2 commercial specifications into engineering requirements
- Validate technical feasibility and cost implications of proposed solutions
- Support proposal development with technical content and performance validation
- Provide engineering input on customer technical queries and modification requests
Manufacturing & Quality Support
- Work with production team to ensure manufacturability and quality of designs
- Support factory acceptance testing and technical commissioning procedures
- Investigate field performance issues and implement design improvements
- Maintain technical documentation and change control procedures
Technical Standards & Compliance
- Ensure designs comply with relevant electrical, thermal and safety standards
- Manage certification processes and regulatory approval requirements
- Stay current on evolving technical standards and grid codes across target markets
- Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical or related technical discipline
- 5+ years experience in power systems, thermal design or electrical engineering
- Experience with outdoor/industrial equipment design and certification processes
- Familiarity with relevant standards (IEC, IEEE, local electrical codes)
