The Nine is Belgium's first female-focused private members' club—a vibrant community, restaurant, bar, and event space located in the heart of Brussels' European Quarter. We are looking for a hands-on Restaurant Supervisor to oversee our evening restaurant operations and help deliver exceptional service every day.
The Role
As Restaurant Supervisor, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the restaurant during evening service. Working closely with both the kitchen and bar teams, you will ensure excellent communication, efficient operations, and a consistently high standard of hospitality.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives on organisation, teamwork, and creating memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
- Supervise the evening restaurant service
- Oversee the waste collection service
- Resolve guest queries and questions with confidence
- Ensure all opening, service, and closing procedures are completed correctly.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and support the front-of-house team during service
- Create and manage weekly student and flexi schedules in collaboration with management
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional working environment.
Coordination
- Act as a key link between the restaurant, kitchen, and bar teams
- Ensure efficient communication throughout service
- Coordinate table management and service flow to maximise efficiency and guest satisfaction
- Support private dining and event services where required.
Inventory & Regulations
- Monitor stock levels for restaurant supplies
- Complete regular inventory counts and report shortages
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- A proactive hospitality professional with previous supervisory experience.
- Calm under pressure and highly organised
- Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service
- A natural leader who motivates and supports others
- Comfortable making decisions and solving problems independently
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
- Responsible and reliable.
Requirements
- Previous experience supervising a restaurant or hospitality team
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations and service standards
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Fluent English is essential
- French and/or Dutch are highly desirable
- Experience using POS and reservation systems
