This job offer refers to a dispatcher (Control Room Operator) position working in day shifts (morning and afternoon teams) within the regional dispatching department.
In this role, you will mainly be responsible for the following tasks:
- You prepare and coordinate the execution of maneuvers planned in the outage schedule to ensure that the maneuver is carried out safely and that the installation is delivered in the condition required by Elia maintenance staff or the network user.
- You prepare and coordinate the commissioning and decommissioning of installations.
- You contribute to keeping operational documents up to date (basic maneuver notes, operation documents, etc.).
- You contribute to improving the dispatching's operational processes. You provide ad hoc network monitoring (supporting or replacing an absent colleague from the continuous shift) and, in this framework, ensure that:
- the required network voltage quality for clients is constantly guaranteed,
- alarms and network/system anomalies are dealt with,
- the necessary control calculations are carried out,
you intervene and communicate in the event of incidents.
-
For this purpose, you follow an intensive multi-month training program that will allow you to gradually acquire the skills needed to take on the various tasks.
At first, you prepare the planned maneuvers and submit them for validation by all stakeholders. You also actively help keep the operational documents necessary for the proper functioning of the Regional Control Center (RCC) up to date.
In parallel, you continue your training to be able, in a second stage, to autonomously coordinate the execution of maneuvers.
A training path is also planned within dispatching, based on your experience, so that you can acquire the necessary qualifications to operate the high-voltage network.
As soon as you have the required certificates, knowledge, and skills, you will be able to strengthen the team within the day shift (alternating between the morning and afternoon teams—week 1: 1:00 p.m. to 8:36 p.m., week 2: 6:00 a.m. to 1:36 p.m., week 3: 6:00 a.m. to 1:36 p.m., week 4: Monday to Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:36 p.m. and Thursday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:36 p.m.).
Eventually, a move to continuous shift work is possible.
