As Comp & Ben Expert, you support in developing and implementing the Total Rewards strategy and processes of the organisation (e.g. both BE and international subsidiaries), in order to have a cost-efficient Compensation & Benefits policy aligned with market-practice, contributing to the overall HR Strategy and with the aim of becoming an employer of choice within the sector (attracting, retaining & motivating our talents).
- You support in developing, implementing and maintaining a Compensation & Benefits policy in line with the overall HR Strategy, looking at cost-efficiencies, new practices in the market and internal alignment in all entities
- You design and maintain:
- Salary structures (ranges, bands, grades)
- Job architecture and job leveling frameworks
- Pay progression and merit increase guidelines
- You ensure internal equity and consistency across roles and geographies
- As Comp & Ben Expert you are responsible for below Compensation & Benefits processes:
- The FTE and personnel budget process as part of the overall budget process, led by the finance department. Monitoring the evolution of the actual FTE cost versus budget and look for ways to optimize
- The annual reward cycle such as merit review, bonus process, variable pay process.
- The responsibility for employee benefits offering, ensuring proper management of employee insurances – in collaboration with the Senior Compensation & Benefits Expert and our broker
- Collaboration to benchmark exercises to ensure market-competitiveness
- You act as an internal specialist in Compensation & Benefits and support compensation decisions with data-driven insights.
- You collaborate in and lead small projects linked to Compensation & Benefits in collaboration with a team of internal and external people in order to optimize our HR offering
- You team-up with the other HR departments (HR Services, Industrial Relations, C&B, Talent Acquisition, L&D,…) in order to participate in (cross-border) (HR) projects and continuously evaluate and improve our HR Service Offering
- You continuously monitor he most recent developments and trends within your specific field of expertise in order to ensure compliance with legal changes in all entities and to offer our employees a modern Comp&Ben offering (Flexible benefits, etc.)
- You support the labour relations specialist on C&B related manners and delivers material as preparation in social dialogue on C&B topics in order to maintain a positive social climate, to enable realisation of the C&B strategy
- You hold a master’s degree in Economics or Business, or equivalent by experience
- You have 3-5 years of relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits, ideally in a lager, international organization.
- You have experience with and enjoy working on projects.
- You have a good understanding of business needs and are able to think conceptually.
- You think analytical and have a data-driven mindset
- You have a solid knowledge of Belgian social legislation and modern Compensation & Benefits practices
- You know how to influence and engage stakeholders at different levels
- You are discreet, act with integrity and handle confidential information with care.
- You are proactive, hands-on and result-oriented, while remaining flexible in a dynamic environment.
- You thrive in complex and changing environments and enjoy finding pragmatic solutions.
- You communicate fluently in Dutch/French and English, and can make yourself understood in the other national language (Dutch/French.
