To support our Supply Chain organization in Ghent, we are looking for a Supply Chain Project Specialist who is passionate about quality, compliance and process improvement in an operational warehouse setting.
As a Supply Chain Project Specialist, you will take ownership of quality and documentation activities within a fast-paced operational environment. You will play a key role in conducting quality investigations and writing GMP documentation related to our warehouse operations. You will work closely with different global and local teams within and outside the Supply Chain organization to ensure that deviations are investigated thoroughly, procedures are written accurately, and processes are continuously strengthened in line with GMP expectations.
You are responsible for;
- Quality Investigations: You take ownership of quality investigations related to warehouse operations, including both batch-related and non-batch related deviations. When a deviation occurs, you investigate what happened, built a clear timeline, assess the potential impact and define the right corrective and preventive actions. You perform a root cause analysis and work closely with the involved process to understand the situation, identify the risks and ensure that corrective actions are implemented correctly and on time. You ensure that investigations are documented in a clear, accurate and compliant way.
- GMP Documentation: You contribute to the audit readiness of warehouse operations by ensuring that standard operating procedures and work instructions are complete, accurate and inspection ready. You help identify improvement opportunities and gaps in current processes or documentation and contribute to sustainable continuous improvements. You understand the importance of GMP compliance and Good Documentation Practices and act within the necessary accuracy and sense of responsibility.
- Stakeholder Management & Collaboration: You collaborate closely with local and global cross-functional teams such as Warehouse Operations, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, etc. on the implementation of warehouse process changes. You gather input, challenge where needed and ensure strong alignment before changes are implemented. You know how to ask the right questions, understand process risk and build trust with stakeholders.
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, quality and compliance, technical writing,..in a highly regulated environment.
- Experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotech environment is a strong asset.
- Experience with writing standard operation procedures and work instructions is a strong asset.
- Supply Chain & Logistics: you have a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management principles including warehouse, logistics, inventory management and replenishment strategies.
- Regulatory Compliance & Quality Standards: you have in-dept knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices.
- ERP & Warehouse Management Systems: you are familiar with Enterprise Resource Planning systems and Warehouse Management Systems to enable inventory tracing, procurement, and logistics operations.
- Project Management: You have a first experience in project management, applying lean methodologies and tools (white or yellow belt level).
- Fluent knowledge of Dutch and English (written and spoken) is required.
- You are an analytical and critical thinker with a problem-solving mindset.
- You have strong technical writing skills and are able to translate complex processes into clear, precise and GMP-compliant documentation.
- You are highly organized and capable of prioritizing and multitasking. You enjoy working independently in a dynamic and fast-growing environment.
- You are able to build trust with different stakeholders and work constructively with internal and external teams that may have different priorities.
- You are comfortable in using digital and AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and data analysis.
