At LolaLiza, a 100% Belgian brand dedicated to trendy, accessible women's fashion, we are looking for a Freelancer Fashion Designer to temporarily take charge of a key area within our creative department.
Based at our headquarters in the heart of Brussels (a short walk from Central Station), this mission is available full-time, with on-site presence required.
Reporting directly to the Chief Product & Marketing Officer, you will join a close-knit creative team composed of Designers and Modelists, working in very close collaboration with our Buyers. At the core of this synergy, you will immediately ensure stylistic coherence, commercial efficiency, and smooth collection launches across multiple seasons simultaneously.
- Collection Coordination : Participate in the overall creation of thematics, designs, color palettes, in full alignment with the LolaLiza DNA, and a strict retroplanning.
- Collection development : Co-build a fashionable and well balanced offer with the Buyers, and collaborate daily with the team’s modelists to develop and follow up on prototypes. You work simultaneously 2 to 3 seasons at a time.
- Design development : Design the collection of your product categories and create comprehensive technical files using Illustrator (flats, artworks, colorways, design measurements and fitting details), manage approvals (lab dips, prints, trims, fabrics) and fitting sessions with modelists.
- Market analysis : understand the market vs the positioning of the brand by analysing trends on recurrent basis (competition, catwalks, fairs…).
- Commercial Analysis & Responsiveness: Track product performance with your buyer, analyze bestsellers, and adjust the range in-season by proposing quick updates tailored to market demands.
- Experience: A proven track record of at least 5 years in a similar role within a women’s ready-to-wear brand, demonstrating end-to-end mastery of the product lifecycle.
- Autonomy & Mindset: Passionated by fashion, curious and dynamic, you are fully operational from day one, you possess strong decision-making skills, the ability to manage multiple seasons at once, and a perfect balance between creative vision and commercial realism.
- Technical Skills: Expert mastery of Illustrator, Photoshop, and the creation of complex technical packs. In-depth knowledge of garment construction, materials, and industrial manufacturing constraints.
- Languages: Fluent English is essential, combined with a strong command of French or Dutch.
- A high-impact mission within an agile, collaborative, and passionate team.
- A dynamic and easily accessible work environment in Brussels.
