For one of our international clients based in Wallonia, active in the industrial sector and specialized in process equipment solutions, we are currently looking for an Area Sales Engineer / Manager to strengthen their European sales team.
Your responsibilities
- Develop sales plans and strategies in coordination with the European Sales Force.
- Deliver on sales targets.
- Collaborate with sales representatives, direct sales employees and customer service teams to develop sales objectives for market areas.
- Recommend pricing strategies and promotional programs for key customers in assigned territory.
- Maintain personal contact with key customers in assigned markets.
- Recruit, interview, and select candidates for sales representative or direct sales positions within assigned region in coordination with the European Sales Force, hierarchy and Legal Department.
- Hold responsibility for new agent/hiring training and development.
- Analyze sales representative and direct sales team performance and implement changes as needed to sustain growth.
- Develop and implement management programs for major accounts.
- Develop new business by finding opportunities in new technology and services and maintain existing business.
- Establish lasting, professional relationships with customer contacts. Meet regularly with customers and develop a strong understanding of their business plans.
- Understand customer’s local environment and identify new technical applications suited to their needs.
- Ensure that problems arising from sales are responded to and appropriately managed.
- Actively update account and sales management regarding changes to customer accounts.
- Use sales systems and processes to document and communicate opportunities, market and competitive intelligence, customer information including: contacts, visit reports, etc.
Your profile
- Engineering education (Chemistry Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, … ).
- At least 3 years of Industrial Process Equipment. Field experience is preferred.
- Experience with vibrating / Gyratory separation equipment is preferred.
- Valid motor vehicle operator's license. Willingness to travel extensively in assigned territory (30%).
Strong communication skills, verbal, presentation, and writing.
- Strong technical understanding and analytical skills.
Interest in directing and guiding others, supervisory interest or skills.
- Must be fluent in English language written and spoken. French and other languages are a plus.
