Experience: 5+ years of product design and visualization experience
At Loop, industrial design defines how our products look, feel, and perform. As an Industrial Designer, you design products that don’t just function—they stand out. You explore multiple design directions, create signature forms, and turn sketches into tangible prototypes.
You work end-to-end across the full product creation process, helping shape the next generation of earplugs, wearables, and accessories while evolving Loop’s design language. Experience in consumer electronics—ideally wearables—helps you understand the level of precision, constraints, and detail required in our products.
You work across concept sketches, CAD, rendering, AI tools, and prototyping while collaborating closely on product development with Engineering, Program Managers, and Marketing.
You transform product briefs into strong design concepts that balance aesthetic vision with feasibility. Your work moves from early exploration to production-ready solutions.
You work across sketching, CAD, rendering, and prototyping while collaborating closely with Engineering, Product Development, and Marketing.
What You’ll Do
Drive product design from concept to production
Explore multiple design directions through sketching and visualization
Develop detailed CAD models and support prototyping
Ensure designs meet DFM requirements with engineering
Translate briefs into clear and distinctive design concepts
Create visual and physical prototypes for testing
Apply research insights to refine form and ergonomics
Produce high-quality renderings for stakeholders and marketing
You Won’t
Treat design as purely visual without considering feasibility or ergonomics
Wait for fully defined briefs instead of exploring direction
Rely on a single idea instead of iterating on multiple directions
Work in isolation without collaborating cross-functionally
With a user-first design mindset, you combine creativity with technical accuracy and know how to move quickly without losing sight of manufacturability. You explore multiple directions, bring clarity to decisions, and translate ideas into designs that can be built.
You understand the level of detail required in consumer electronics and apply that thinking to everything you design. You communicate clearly with non-design stakeholders and align teams around design intent.
You stay curious and open to feedback, using it to continuously raise the quality of your work. You see design as both craft and responsibility—creating products that reflect Loop’s identity while delivering real value to users.
5+ years of experience in industrial or consumer product design
Experience designing consumer electronics products (wearables is a strong plus)
A strong portfolio of physical products brought to market
Experience with CAD (Rhino, Creo, or similar)
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and rendering tools
Hands-on prototyping skills (3D printing, laser cutting, model making)
Understanding of DFM principles (plastics and silicone)
Ability to translate ideas into manufacturable solutions
Proficiency in using AI tools within your design workflow, along with a strong curiosity to further develop and expand these capabilities
Focus only on aesthetics without considering real product constraints
Struggle to balance speed, exploration, and execution
Avoid feedback or iteration in your design process
Prefer working only within clearly defined problems
Great. At Loop, industrial design sits at the heart of every product we bring to life. If you want to design products people use every day and help shape a growing design language, we’d love to hear from you.
