For one of our clients, a major organization operating in a critical infrastructure environment, we are looking for an IT Senior Network Engineer to support the implementation of network segregation initiatives and maintain a modern, secure and resilient LAN infrastructure.
The consultant will work in a hybrid setup, with regular onsite presence in Brussels and, when required, on production sites in Wallonia. The mission is long-term and involves both operational network engineering and project-based activities in a complex IT/OT environment.
The IT Senior Network Engineer will contribute to the maintenance, evolution and security of the client’s network infrastructure, with a strong focus on LAN, network segregation, OT resilience and monitoring.
Main responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and updating the Extreme Networks infrastructure.
- Following up security tickets and CVEs related to LAN components, including switches, Wi-Fi, NAC and related network equipment.
- Providing second-line support to users and technical teams.
- Configuring and programming Extreme switches.
- Supporting the DRP project through the design and implementation of Extreme network equipment.
- Performing physical data center maintenance activities, including rack-related tasks.
- Configuring, testing, implementing and improving monitoring through SolarWinds, including alarms and dashboards.
- Supporting OT security monitoring by configuring Nozomi-related network requirements, including mirror ports on Extreme switches.
- Working with Extreme XIQ.
- Supporting network resilience initiatives in OT environments.
- Fine-tuning existing network implementations.
- Documenting new requests, existing infrastructure, changes and technical decisions.
- Ensuring compliance with GDPR, ISO27001 and NIS2 requirements throughout the mission.
