Working in the Finance circle
As a Business Controller Business-to-Business (B2B,) you act as a trusted finance business partner to the B2B leadership team. You help steer the business through growth, transformation, and profitability improvement initiatives by translating financial and operational data into actionable business decision. Your key responsibilities include:
- Business cases – P&L driver modelling
- Monthly financial closing
- Analysis of KPIs / OKRs
- Long range plan, annual budgeting, monthly forecasting
He/she reports to the Lead Controller B2B and also contributes to the value stream processes within the Strategy and Portfolio team.
Your main responsibilities as our Business Controller
- Bring operational discipline into the businesses through regular, data-driven financial performance reviews
- Provide the necessary financial and business insights to support senior management in making strategic decisions regarding markets, products, and business segments, as well as productivity and process improvements
- Support the Long Range Planning process, including coordination with the central strategy team
- Lead budgeting and forecasting activities in close partnership with key stakeholders.
- Develop business cases and assess investments, transformation initiatives, and ROI to support decision-making.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting through monthly closings and performance monitoring
Maintain compliance with procurement, financial policies, and internal controls.

Our ideal Business Controller has…
- A Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in business controlling, FP&A, consulting, corporate finance, or a similar analytical business partnering role.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to connect financial performance to operational and commercial drivers.
- Excellent analytical and modelling skills, with advanced Excel capabilities.
- Proven ability to challenge stakeholders constructively and influence decision-making at senior management level.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate data into business actions.
- Curiosity, ambition, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- A hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment.
- Professional proficiency in English; Dutch and French are considered assets.
