As a member of the Video Security and Access control business, the Pre Sales Solutions Engineer will work closely with the MSI Sales team to develop and position solutions involving Video Security and Access control. The Sales Engineer is responsible for technical aspects of the sales process, and works closely with the Sales Department to develop and position solutions involving MSI products.
During the needs analysis process, confirm that MSI products meet the prospect’s requirements and assist in technical qualifications. Throughout the proposal process, articulate the technology and demonstrate MSI solutions to both business and technical users. Position MSI products relative to competition and formulate system designs that conform to both technical and budgetary requirements.
During the acceptance and deployment process, provide on-site support for integration, troubleshooting, and training. Work together with technical support staff in assisting clients post-purchase to ensure the highest in customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities of the Sales Engineer:
Articulate the technology and demonstrate differentiated value propositions to both business and technical prospects
Conduct compelling product demonstrations and lead technical discussions
Support Sales Team in responding to RFP’s and designing, specifying, and quoting systems
Effectively disseminate product knowledge by providing thorough training to Sales Team, Manufacturing Representatives, Integrators, and End-Users
Extensive travel to provide on-site support for integration, troubleshooting, and training
Collaborate with the Technical Support team in providing post-sales support to customers
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners
Qualifications or the Sales Engineer :
5+ years experience in Sales Engineering for a technology company
Strong understanding of the video surveillance & access control market and technologies
Fluent in English, French and Dutch
Self-motivated and focused individual with a passion for technology and an aptitude for customer satisfaction
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong negotiation skills
Excellent presentation skills
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Technical knowledge of the Sales Engineer :
Intimate knowledge and experience with Windows troubleshooting tools and techniques
Excellent knowledge of networking principles and IP communication
Experience with computer hardware configuration and troubleshooting
Experience with network equipment configuration and troubleshooting
Preference will be given to candidates with one or more of the following:
University/technical college degree
Prior experience in surveillance industry
Certification for any competitive products
