The GRID department manages Fluxys Belgium’s gas transmission network to ensure a continuous gas supply to end users and to guarantee the safety of the installations, the environment and staff. In practical terms, this involves the inspection, operation and maintenance of the pipeline network and associated installations, as well as the proper management of all work carried out by third parties in the vicinity of our installations. Organisationally, the GRID department is divided into five regional zones spread across the whole of Belgium, supported by two central services (Asset & Maintenance Management and Third Party Works Team) which establish the maintenance programme and working methods and monitor and improve the reliability and availability of our installations through technical analyses and innovative solutions.
