As part of its IT Corporate Business Partners team, Gaming1 is looking for an AI & Automation Engineer to design and operate automation solutions that serve the entire organisation. Your internal customers span Finance, HR, Marketing, Retail, and IT — with new use cases emerging constantly.
This is a greenfield role. There is no legacy automation practice to maintain, no backlog of technical debt to inherit. You will help define what good looks like: the tools, the standards, the reusable components, the way we work. That means navigating ambiguity, learning fast, and making decisions without a complete picture — which is exactly what we are looking for.
This is a dual-focus role: half automation engineering (workflow design, integration, orchestration), half AI integration (LLM-powered processing, intelligent document handling, smart routing). You will be expected to own both dimensions end-to-end — from a vague stakeholder conversation to a production deployment. Experiments will sometimes fail. We treat that as signal, not failure.
Your Role
-
Identify, scope, and prioritise automation opportunities across business domains (Finance, HR, Marketing, Retail, IT) in collaboration with stakeholders
-
Design and build production-grade automation workflows using Power Automate (Cloud), n8n, or any other tool fit for purpose
-
Develop and maintain REST API integrations (OAuth2, webhooks, JSON) or MCPs connecting internal tools and third-party services
-
Integrate LLM capabilities (Azure OpenAI or equivalent) into automation pipelines: document extraction, classification, email triage, exception handling
-
Write clean, maintainable scripts (Python, C#) for data transformation, validation logic, and automation tooling
-
Implement robust error handling, retry logic, alerting, and structured logging across all workflows
-
Document automations thoroughly and contribute to a growing framework of reusable components
-
Track and report automation KPIs: time saved, error reduction, volumes processed, ROI
-
Actively monitor the AI & automation landscape — bring relevant ideas to the table before you are asked
Your Profile
Required:
-
2–5 years of hands-on experience in automation engineering or a closely related role
-
Solid Power Automate (Cloud) skills: connector design, approval flows, complex conditional logic, SharePoint/M365 integrations
-
Strong REST API fundamentals: OAuth2, webhooks, pagination, authentication patterns, JSON manipulation
-
Python or C# proficiency: scripting for data handling, transformation logic, and automation support tasks
-
Practical LLM integration experience: prompt engineering for structured outputs, Azure OpenAI or OpenAI API usage in real workflows
-
Comfort with ambiguity: ability to turn a messy "this is painful" conversation into a scoped, maintainable solution
-
Strong ownership: you scope, build, test, deploy, and hand over — with documentation
-
Fluent in both French and English (written and spoken)
Nice to have:
-
Hands-on n8n experience: JavaScript nodes, custom HTTP integrations, self-hosted or cloud deployment
-
Familiarity with RAG patterns or MCP (Model Context Protocol)
-
Exposure to a regulated or compliance-heavy industry (gaming, finance, insurance)
-
DevOps literacy: Git, versioning, CI/CD pipelines
-
Knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem beyond Power Automate
