For one of our clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector, we are looking for an experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the implementation and lifecycle management of industrial and laboratory systems.
The client operates in a highly regulated environment where Information Technology (IT), Operational Technology (OT), cybersecurity, and compliance play a critical role in supporting manufacturing, laboratory, and development activities.
The successful candidate will act as a technical coordinator and system expert, ensuring that industrial solutions are implemented, maintained, and governed according to established standards, security requirements, and operational processes.
Your Responsibilities

Review, understand, and coordinate the implementation of IT/OT solutions designed by solution architects and technical teams.

Collaborate with business users, laboratory teams, vendors, engineering teams, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure successful delivery.

Ensure adherence to governance, compliance, cybersecurity, and quality standards throughout the system lifecycle.

Coordinate implementation and change activities within a complex industrial environment.

Work closely with infrastructure, security, engineering, and operational teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions.

Monitor project progress and ensure activities remain aligned with agreed timelines, budget, and service levels.

Produce and maintain technical documentation, implementation records, and operational procedures.

Report progress, risks, and key deliverables to project and delivery management.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and provide recommendations based on lessons learned.
You are a technically minded professional who enjoys coordinating projects and system implementations while acting as the bridge between business stakeholders, vendors, engineering teams, IT infrastructure teams, and cybersecurity specialists.
You combine technical understanding with strong coordination and communication skills and thrive in complex industrial environments.
Technical Skills

Minimum 5 years of experience within IT environments.

Initial experience working with Operational Technology (OT), industrial systems, manufacturing, laboratory environments, or automation technologies.

Understanding of IT and OT infrastructure components and services.

Knowledge of cybersecurity principles within industrial environments.

Experience with system implementation, integration, and change coordination.

Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.

Experience working with external vendors and multidisciplinary teams.

Familiarity with regulated environments such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, life sciences, or manufacturing is considered a strong asset.
