We are looking for a highly experienced Technical Lead Modern Workplace to play a key role in the technical evolution, stability, security, and continuous improvement of a large-scale digital workplace environment.
The position is part of a Digital Workplace Team composed of experienced specialists responsible for managing, optimizing, and modernizing end-user IT services and workplace solutions. The environment strongly focuses on Microsoft 365 technologies, cloud services, collaboration platforms, security, and hybrid ways of working.
The role combines deep technical expertise with technical leadership responsibilities. The consultant will act as a technical reference point for complex topics, support technical decision-making, guide team members, and ensure consistency and quality across Modern Workplace solutions, while remaining hands-on when required.
The mission also includes contributing to the reduction of technical debt, improving the end-user experience, and supporting modern hybrid workplace practices within a complex enterprise environment.
Your missions:
Provide technical leadership for Modern Workplace solutions and services.
Define and maintain the technical direction, quality, consistency, and stability of workplace environments.
Design, implement, optimize, and support Microsoft 365 services and collaboration platforms.
Act as the main technical point of contact for complex incidents, changes, and improvement initiatives.
Support and coach team members on technical topics, troubleshooting approaches, and best practices.
Ensure workplace solutions remain secure, scalable, performant, and manageable.
Contribute to technical standards, governance, operational guidelines, and reference implementations.
Integrate Modern Workplace solutions with existing IT services and enterprise systems.
Support New Ways of Working (NWOW) and Hybrid Ways of Working (HWOW) initiatives from both practical and technological perspectives.
Contribute actively to projects through technical input, design reviews, implementation support, and solution validation.
Produce and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Monitor technology trends and innovations related to Microsoft 365, Modern Workplace, cloud technologies, and end-user computing.
Your activities:
Lead the technical implementation and evolution of Modern Workplace environments.
Participate hands-on in Microsoft 365 platform administration and optimization activities.
Work on Office 365 services, Entra ID, collaboration services, and workplace integrations.
Support cloud-based workplace services and Azure-related concepts.
Handle technical escalations and complex troubleshooting scenarios.
Review technical designs and validate implementation approaches.
Ensure compliance with security and identity management best practices.
Collaborate with infrastructure, security, project, and operations teams.
Improve workplace performance, usability, and end-user experience.
Contribute to reducing technical debt and improving operational efficiency.
Define and maintain technical documentation, standards, and procedures.
Participate in hybrid workplace transformation initiatives and operational improvements.
Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to less experienced engineers.
Ensure operational continuity and technical consistency across workplace services.
You have the following skills:
Technical Skills
Minimum 5 years of experience in IT architecture or technology leadership roles within complex IT environments.
Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in designing, building, and evolving Modern Workplace / End-User Computing solutions.
Minimum 15 years of practical experience with Microsoft 365 technologies and workloads, including:
Office 365
Entra ID
Collaboration services
Minimum 5 years of experience with:
Cloud concepts and Azure environments
Cybersecurity fundamentals
Identity and access management
Endpoint security
Minimum 3 years of experience supporting:
Hybrid work environments
Remote working models
NWOW / HWOW initiatives
Minimum 3 years of experience in project-driven environments with involvement in:
Technical decision-making
Design reviews
Implementation activities
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset.
Ability to technically mentor and guide colleagues.
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Dutch or French speaker with a good passive understanding of the other national language.

You have at least 15 years of professional experiences in IT
