The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Roofing Lecturer to join our Construction Team. If you're passionate about the construction industry, have strong technical knowledge, and are motivated by helping others achieve their potential, this could be the perfect role for you.

That’s why we will support you through a structured development programme, including mentoring, classroom shadowing, and guidance to achieve a recognised teaching qualification.
What you will do?
Your skill set will reflect the Roofing apprenticeship standard, including competence across pitched roofing (slating and tiling) and flat roofing systems, ensuring learners develop the full breadth of occupational knowledge and skills required by industry. You will be qualified in roofing to Level 3 or above and you will have the industry experience that allows you to contextualise your teaching with specific examples. You will also be able to evidence professional development that gives you currency in the sector and will hold, or be working towards, a relevant teaching or assessing qualification, or be willing to take further training to achieve this goal.
As Roofing Lecturer, you will be responsible for student learning, curriculum development, pastoral care, and administration. Sharing your skills and knowledge, developing and maintaining high levels of student retention and attendance.

This is a permanent, full-time post and the starting salary will depend upon an individual’s level of experience. Regional travel may be required as part of the role; therefore use of your own transport, a current valid driving license and business insurance is essential.
