Project Manager Automation

Your role
As a Project Manager Automation, you lead the design and implementation of automation solutions—from concept to commissioning.
You translate technical challenges into smart, scalable systems, combining hardware and software into robust solutions used daily on the production floor.
You manage projects end-to-end, while staying close to the technology. This is not a purely coordinating role—you remain hands-on and technically involved.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead automation projects from concept to implementation
- Design and develop innovative hardware and software solutions
- Optimize existing machines and processes to improve performance and reliability
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (engineering, production, maintenance)
- Ensure smooth implementation and support adoption on the shop floor
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives

Experience with any of the below is considered as a strong benefit for this role:
- Emerson DeltaV DCS system.
- DeltaV architecture, configuration, testing, and validation.
- Siemens (PLC) programming systems: PCS7, TIA Portal
- Instrumentation, PID control systems, control topologies (measurement signals, sensors, motors, valves, etc.)
- Ethernet networks, Profibus, Profinet
- AspenTech data historian software
Your profile
- Master’s degree in Engineering (e.g. Electromechanics, Automation, Computer Science, …)
- Preferably 3–5 years of experience in automation, engineering, or a technical project environment
- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills. Diagnosing malfunctions; analyzing, developing, coordinating, and commissioning solutions.
- Strong interest in integrating hardware and software
- Experienced in working with Microsoft Office 365-suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Working knowledge of OneNote, SharePoint, Teams, etc.
- Able to take ownership and drive projects forward
- Good communicator and team player
- Fluent in Dutch and English
