SOLVAKEM, headquartered in the north of France, is a family-owned SME that has been specialized for over 30 years in finding new and higher-value applications for chemical by-products and industrial waste (industrial symbiosis / circular economy).
We help manufacturers integrate their chemical by-products and waste into the production processes of other manufacturers. This creates a win-win situation for all parties involved and contributes to a more sustainable environment.
Position
For our office in Brussels, we are looking for a Logistics Responsible with a strong organizational mindset and an international profile to strengthen our team.
You will be mainly responsible for the company’s logistics planning: organizing transports, communicating with suppliers, transport companies and customers. You will identify issues, risks, and bottlenecks in the logistics flow and continuously strive for improvements.
You will also provide commercial support and work closely with the company directors to ensure smooth operations and contribute to the growth of the business.
Several new circular economy projects are currently being developed, giving you the opportunity to actively contribute to shaping new solutions. Your commitment will have a direct impact on the success of the company.
Responsibilities
- Organizing and coordinating transports
- Monitoring the planning of various material flows
- Maintaining contacts with different stakeholders (suppliers, transport companies, and customers) both via email and phone conversations
- Providing commercial support to the company
- Identifying and following up on logistics improvements
- Working closely with the company directors on operational matters
Profile
- Experience in the logistics sector is a necessity
- Interest in circular economy and industrial symbiosis
- Knowledge of the chemical industry and transport of dangerous goods is a plus
- Strong communication skills, proactive attitude, and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Able to think strategically while maintaining a pragmatic approach
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently
- Fluent in French (native level), English (fluent) knowledge of Dutch is a strong asset
- Good knowledge of Excel and Office package
