Team description
With more than 200 members of over 40 nationalities, Purchasing plays a key role in the success of TME. In Purchasing we manage the relation with suppliers of parts, raw materials and indirect goods & services across Europe. Toyota’s unique Purchasing approach is based on a strong belief in developing and maintaining long-term, stable relationships with suppliers. Through this collaborative mindset, we target to achieve our goal to contribute to the society and build ever better cars.
Your responsibilities

You contribute to the future of mobility by purchasing vehicle parts for current and future Toyota models built across Europe.

You play a key role in supplier selection by assessing quotations and making strategic decisions, supported by your management.

You are part of a team that leads impactful negotiations with suppliers, driving sustainable cost improvements and long-term partnerships.

You are the ambassador of your suppliers in Toyota and work closely with colleagues from engineering, quality & manufacturing to solve commercial and other problems in the spirit of respect and mutual trust.

You are responsible for building commodity sourcing strategies and, by doing so, develop your expertise in automotive technologies and market trends.

You work with suppliers to reduce environmental impacts, support carbon reduction initiatives and strengthen human rights due diligence throughout the supply chain. By collaborating with teams in sustainability, design and manufacturing, you enable Toyota to create long-term value for both the business and society.

Your Profile:
For TME Graduate positions we are targeting recent University Graduates (less than 18 months of experience excluding internships)

You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)

You hold a university degree or higher education qualification in business, purchasing, engineering, or a related field

You have an interest in the automotive industry and a curiosity to learn more about our products

You enjoy solving problems and can break down complex challenges into clear, manageable steps

You have good communication skills and collaborate effectively, with an openness to develop expertise in negotiation and presentation

You demonstrate analytical thinking and attention to detail to support high-quality results

You are comfortable working independently as well as in diverse, cross-functional teams

You are confident using digital tools such as Microsoft Office applications (or willing to further develop these skills)
