Verantwoordelijkheden
Als Head of Logistics, combineer je hands-on operationeel management met projectleiderschap. Je bent voor onze site in België verantwoordelijk voor de goede werking van de logistieke afdeling en fungeert tegelijkertijd als de drijvende kracht voor het optimaliseren van de logistieke processen.
- Je geeft leiding aan, coördineert en ondersteunt het magazijnteam (samen met de warehouse supervisor) door middel van training, coaching en begeleiding.
- Je stuurt daarnaast ook de Logistics Officer aan, die verantwoordelijk is voor de dagelijkse transportaanvragen.
- Je houdt toezicht op de correcte uitvoering van alle magazijnprocessen, van goederenontvangst en opslag tot picking, packing en verzending vanuit RFT
- Je waarborgt de veiligheid op de werkvloer en ziet toe op de naleving van werkinstructies en regelgeving.
- Je waarborgt de operationele continuïteit en treedt op als back-up voor de Warehouse Supervisor indien nodig.
- Je identificeert, initieert en implementeert optimalisatieprojecten op het gebied van magazijnlay-out, flow-verbetering , verpakkingsstandaarden, transport .... Door middel van verbetertrajecten identificeer je actief mogelijkheden om operationele kosten te reduceren zonder in te boeten op kwaliteit.
- Je werkt nauw samen met andere afdelingen om voorraadniveaus te optimaliseren en cross-functionele operationele projecten te leiden.
- Je fungeert als het centrale aanspreekpunt voor transport gerelateerde vragen en bent de schakel tussen de externe transportpartners, het magazijn en onze klanten.
Kwalificaties
- Opleiding en Ervaring Vaardigheden en Competenties
- Opleiding: Master- of bachelordiploma in logistiek, warehousing of een gelijkwaardig niveau door ervaring.
- Ervaring: Minimaal 2 jaar relevante ervaring als leidinggevende in een magazijn- of productieomgeving.
- Projectervaring: Aantoonbare ervaring met procesoptimalisatie of het leiden van logistieke projecten is een sterke troef.
- Talen: Vloeiende beheersing van de Engelse taal.
- IT-Kennis: Grondige kennis van WMS-applicaties, ERP D365 en MS Office (Outlook, Excel).
- Persoonlijkheid: Je bent een resultaatgerichte teamplayer met sterke communicatieve vaardigheden.
- Analytisch vermogen: Je bent oplossingsgericht en in staat om data te vertalen naar concrete verbeteracties.
- Stressbestendigheid: Je kunt zelfstandig werken en prioriteiten stellen in een dynamische omgeving.

Responsibilities
As Head of Logistics, you combine hands-on operational management with project leadership. For our Belgian site, you are responsible for the smooth operation of the logistics department while acting as the driving force behind the optimization of logistics processes.
- Lead, coordinate, and support the warehouse team (together with the Warehouse Supervisor) through training, coaching, and guidance.
- Manage the Logistics Officer, who is responsible for daily transportation requests.
- Oversee the correct execution of all warehouse processes, from goods receipt and storage to picking, packing, and shipping from RFT.
- Ensure workplace safety and compliance with work instructions and regulations.
- Safeguard operational continuity and act as a backup for the Warehouse Supervisor when required.
- Identify, initiate, and implement optimization projects related to warehouse layout, process flow improvements, packaging standards, transportation, and more.
- Proactively identify opportunities to reduce operational costs through continuous improvement initiatives without compromising quality.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to optimize inventory levels and lead cross-functional operational projects.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for transport-related matters and act as the link between external transport partners, the warehouse, and our customers.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Warehousing, or equivalent through relevant experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant leadership experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Project Experience: Demonstrated experience in process optimization and/or leading logistics projects is a strong asset.
Skills & Competencies
- Languages: Fluent in English.
- IT Skills: Strong knowledge of WMS applications, ERP Dynamics 365, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).
- Personality: Results-oriented team player with excellent communication skills.
- Analytical Skills: Solution-focused and capable of translating data into concrete improvement actions.
- Resilience: Able to work independently and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
