As
EU Tech & Digital Policy Manager, you will monitor, analyse and influence EU policy developments across a broad range of digital and technology topics. You will translate complex regulatory developments into clear business implications, strategic recommendations and actionable outcomes for internal stakeholders.
Working closely with colleagues across multiple business units, you will help shape the company's policy positions, represent its interests with European policymakers and industry associations, and ensure alignment between external legislative developments and internal business priorities. While your primary focus will be on digital policy, including AI, cybersecurity and data regulation, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to broader policy areas as business needs evolve.
- A university degree in Law, Economics, Communications, Political Science, International Affairs or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
- Approximately 5 to 8 years of professional experience in public affairs, public policy, government relations or a comparable field.
- Solid expertise in EU digital policy, particularly in AI, cybersecurity and data-related legislation.
- A genuine passion for innovation and technology, with the ability to quickly understand both hardware and software products across diverse business areas.
- Experience working within a corporate public affairs function and/or government relations environment, with the ability to align evolving legislative timelines with structured internal decision-making processes.
- A proven ability to build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders and confidently engage in direct dialogue with policymakers and external partners.
- Experience working in an international and multicultural environment.
- A proactive, self-driven and highly organised approach, with the ability to independently manage a policy portfolio while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility to contribute beyond the core digital policy portfolio as priorities evolve.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to rapidly research, understand and communicate emerging policy topics.
- The ability to translate complex EU regulatory developments into practical business implications, identifying risks, opportunities and clear recommendations.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- The ability to communicate complex technical and political issues clearly to a wide range of audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with full professional proficiency in English.
- Knowledge of Japanese and/or experience working with Japan is considered an advantage.
- Based in Brussels, with the flexibility to work in a hybrid working model.
