Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
Monitoring and researching new regulations, case law and legal doctrine across various practice areas;
Supporting and developing the firm’s legal knowledge resources, including library, databases, and know-how systems;
Supporting lawyers in the preparation of both internal and client-facing documents such as presentations, pitches, legal submissions, and seminars;
Assisting in the drafting, review, and formatting of legal documents, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and professional presentation;
Providing practical support in various legal matters, including document management and case preparation;
Identifying opportunities to improve workflows and supporting the implementation of process improvements within the firm;
Actively contributing to the adoption and effective use of Legal Tech, with a particular focus on AI-enabled tools to enhance legal skills and knowledge management;
Supporting the optimal use of Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel) in legal workflows and client deliverables;
Your Profile
You hold a Belgian bachelor's or master's degree in law, legal practice, criminology, or an equivalent qualification;
Relevant experience in a law firm or the legal department of an international company is a plus, but not a requirement;
An interest in or affinity with legal technology is a must;
You are a problem-solver who appreciates taking initiative and is always looking for better ways of working;
You are conscientious, well organised, and service-oriented;
You are fluent in either Dutch or French as well as English (full professional proficiency), and can work professionally in Dutch or French (both orally and in writing);
You have an excellent knowledge of MS Office and are comfortable working with digital tools and platforms.
