Als Technical Accounting Lead ben je een belangrijke schakel binnen het Europese Finance-team. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de correcte financiële verwerking en rapportering van de Europese entiteiten en zorgt ervoor dat de maand- en jaarafsluitingen efficiënt en accuraat verlopen.
Je werkt nauw samen met collega's van Accounting, Treasury, Business Systems en externe auditors. Daarnaast fungeer je als inhoudelijke expert binnen het team en ondersteun je minder ervaren collega's.
Je coördineert en ondersteunt de maandelijkse financiële afsluiting, inclusief journaalboekingen, analyses en reconciliaties.
Je controleert en begeleidt de consolidatie van de Europese financiële resultaten (balans, resultatenrekening en cashflow).
Je helpt bij het harmoniseren en verbeteren van accounting processen binnen de verschillende Europese vestigingen.
Je analyseert balans- en resultatenrekeningen en neemt de nodige acties bij afwijkingen.
Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de voorbereiding en coördinatie van externe audits en wettelijke rapporteringen voor de verschillende Europese entiteiten.
Je bent het eerste aanspreekpunt voor externe auditors en zorgt voor de voorbereiding van audit documentatie en rapporteringen.
Je ontwikkelt en bewaakt interne controlemaatregelen voor de Europese organisaties.
Je beheert en onderhoudt het rekeningschema (Chart of Accounts), inclusief statutaire rekeningen.
Je ondersteunt financiële rapportering rond transfer pricing (Local File & Master File).
Je werkt mee aan juridische en verzekeringsgerelateerde dossiers voor de Europese entiteiten.
Je neemt deel aan complexe financiële projecten en denkt actief mee over procesverbeteringen en efficiëntiewinsten.

Daarnaast beschik je over:
Een bachelor in Accountancy of een gelijkaardige financiële opleiding.
Reeds relevante ervaring in accounting en/of auditing.
Een grondige kennis van GAAP en algemene accountingprincipes.
Sterke analytische en probleemoplossende vaardigheden.
Ervaring met financiële consolidatie en statutaire rapportering.
Uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden in een internationale omgeving.
Een proactieve en zelfstandige werkhouding.
Sterke Excel-vaardigheden en een goede kennis van Microsoft Office.
Sterke verbale en geschreven communicatie skills zowel in het Nederlands als in het Engels.

As a Technical Accounting Lead , you will be a key member of the European Finance team. You will be responsible for the accurate financial processing and reporting of the European entities, ensuring that month-end and year-end closing activities are completed efficiently and accurately.
You will work closely with colleagues from Accounting, Treasury, Business Systems, and external auditors. In addition, you will act as a subject matter expert within the team and support less experienced colleagues.
Coordinate and support the monthly financial closing process, including journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations.
Review and support the consolidation of the European financial results (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement).
Contribute to harmonizing and improving accounting processes across the various European entities.
Analyze balance sheet and profit & loss accounts and take appropriate action to resolve discrepancies.
Prepare and coordinate external audits and statutory reporting for the different European entities.
Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and ensure the preparation of audit documentation and reporting.
Develop and maintain internal control measures for the European organizations.
Manage and maintain the Chart of Accounts, including statutory accounts.
Support financial reporting related to transfer pricing (Local File & Master File).
Contribute to legal and insurance-related matters for the European entities.
Participate in complex finance projects and actively contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies.

In addition, you have:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a similar finance-related field.
Relevant experience in accounting and/or auditing.
A solid knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with financial consolidation and statutory reporting.
Excellent communication skills in an international environment.
A proactive, independent, and hands-on mindset.
Strong Excel skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.
