As our Team Lead IT Infrastructure Networking, you play a key role within the Infrastructure department. Reporting to the Manager IT Infrastructure you will play a critical role in leading a team of Network engineers and driving the effective delivery of IT network services.
You are a people-oriented leader who ensures operations run smoothly, projects stay on track, and the team continues to grow both in capability and cohesion who has the evolution of our IT network and platforms that support both admin and operational environments at heart.
You collaborate closely with colleagues in networking, and security to deliver secure and resilient infrastructure services.
- You lead and coordinate a team of Network Engineers ensuring efficient task management, prioritisation, and execution in alignment with departmental goals, while proactively addressing workload balancing and individual development needs.
- You play a key role in people management, focusing on team engagement, supporting your team in delivering results, managing workloads, and growing in expertise. You promote accountability and foster a culture of ownership and collaboration. You build strong partnerships with other IT teams, business owners, and external partners, ensuring that your team consistently delivers reliable, high-quality service and contributes to a culture of continuous improvement.
- You ensure the effective follow-up of networking infrastructure projects, working closely with project managers from the PMO office. Your leadership ensures that both people and technical resources are aligned to deliver projects on time and to specification.
- You oversee the monitoring of network systems' health and performance across skeyes’ headquarters, technical sites, data centres, and regional airports, ensuring high availability and a proactive approach to incident resolution through team coordination and escalation processes.
- You manage the lifecycle of network components (LAN, WAN, firewalls, wireless, VPN, etc.) by not only ensuring technical standards but also by guiding the team through change management and capability-building initiatives.
- You act as the primary technical and managerial point of contact for network-related matters, helping to translate operational needs into technical solutions, while supporting your team in customer-facing and cross-functional collaboration.
- You reinforce a culture of security and accountability by ensuring your team applies network security policies effectively and collaborates closely with IT security stakeholders to mitigate risks and close vulnerabilities.
- You drive the maintenance and evolution of networking procedures, ensuring your team adheres to documentation, compliance, and certification requirements, and you champion process improvements where needed.
