The Team leader Sheet Metal Works is responsible for operations on the aircraft, mainly focused on Sheet Metal Works, and achieves any related objectives given by the Project Coordinator. His/her role involves assigning tasks to team members, monitoring and reporting the progress of the works. He is preferably but not necessarily a licensed engineer.

- Receives daily objectives and priorities from the Project Coordinator
- Reports operational difficulties and deviations immediately
- Reports disciplinary issues and unresolved problems
- Acts as back-up to other Team Leaders
- Provides shift handover notes regarding contractor working hour deviations
- Leadership & Team Supervision
- Provides guidance, instruction, direction, and leadership to the team
- Motivates and inspires team members
- Engages the team with work cards and daily objectives
- Assigns tasks according to team members’ skills
- Ensures discipline, teamwork, tidiness, and professionalism
- Values employees through recognition and appreciation
- Manages personnel hierarchically and ensures discipline is respected
- Planning & Task Management
- Analyzes work to be completed and distributes tasks efficiently
- Responsible for meeting daily task deadlines
- Assigns and monitors work during aircraft checks or other assignments
- Ensures team productivity throughout the shift
- Performs the structural inspections depending on his company privileges and works on the aircraft personally when team productivity allows
- Ensures resources match workload and escalates shortages when needed
- Technical Oversight & Support
- Signs off work performed personally and supervised work within company privileges
- Helps and supports team members technically
- Analyzes findings and prepares repair quotations and estimates
- Determines labor, tooling, parts, and backshop requirements
- Creates part requests in the system
- Documentation & Time Management
- Ensures prompt sign-off of completed jobs (job cards, work orders, panel lists, etc.)
- Ensures proper clock-in/out procedures in Protime and AMOS systems
- Performs and corrects daily AMOS clocking entries
- Acts as back-up for other Team Leaders in clocking administration
- Investigates and justifies discrepancies between allocated and actual work time
- Resource & Productivity Management
- Mobilizes the team to maximize productive hours
- Ensures optimal use of rotables, consumables, and materials
- Monitors contractor working hours outside standard schedules
- Takes corrective actions to reduce recurring clocking errors
- Team Development & Continuous Improvement
- Coaches, trains, informs, motivates, and stimulates team members
- Works with the Cabin, Composite & Painting Manager to develop team versatility and qualifications
- Analyzes improvement ideas from the team and promotes them to management
- Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Promotes awareness of safety, quality, productivity, and discipline
- Ensures compliance with regulations and standards in force
- Maintains operational discipline and proper workplace standards, tidiness and cleanliness of the sheet metal works all along the check
- Engineering degree in aviation maintenance or equivalent through experience.
- Holding a B1 license and mastering structural inspections is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of the SRM
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance or equivalent through experience

- Language skills (English and French and/or Dutch)
- IT skills (Microsoft office)
- Knowledge of AMOS is an asset
