Senior ICT Network Engineer
The assignment
- Design, implement, and maintain campus, datacenter, cloud, and security network infrastructure, including routing, switching, wireless networking, and firewalling solutions.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network services and performance to ensure high availability, security, and operational continuity across enterprise and research environments.
- Execute lifecycle management activities such as upgrades, migrations, standardization, and technology refreshes while supporting infrastructure transformation programs and new site deployments.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and project teams to design and implement network architectures aligned with business, operational, and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to network automation, documentation, disaster recovery preparedness, and the continuous improvement of operational processes, standards, and security controls.
Required knowledge and skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in designing, operating, and supporting enterprise network environments, with strong expertise in routing, switching, and wireless networking.
- Solid knowledge of network security concepts, including segmentation, firewalling, access control, and zero trust architectures.
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, traffic analysis, and performance optimization in complex environments.
- Familiarity with cloud networking technologies and core network services such as DNS, DHCP, IPAM, AAA, and NAC.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams; experience with network automation and IT/OT networking (e.g., Purdue Model, IEC 62443) is considered an asset.
- English is a must.
