Position Summary:
The QHSE is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization's Quality, Health, Safety, Health and Environment systems. This role ensures compliance with applicable regulations, company standards, and industry best practices while promoting a safe, efficient, and quality-driven workplace. The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams, leadership, auditors, and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety, Health & Compliance
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and safety observations.
- Coordinate employee inductions, safety training, and awareness programs.
- Manage personal protective equipment (PPE) processes and occupational health activities.
- Support internal and external audits and oversee corrective action implementation.
- Maintain risk assessments, safety metrics, and compliance documentation.
- Assist with incident investigations and the development of preventative measures.
- Monitor legislative changes and support regulatory compliance activities.
- Contribute to workplace improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
Quality Management
- Monitor quality performance indicators and support quality management systems.
- Coordinate internal and external quality audits.
- Investigate non-conformances and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist in customer complaint management and continuous improvement activities.
- Support process improvement and system implementation projects.
Product Compliance & Stewardship
- Maintain compliance with applicable product and chemical regulations.
- Support product documentation, labelling, and customer information requirements.
- Coordinate regulatory submissions and interactions with relevant authorities.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of compliance management systems.
Environmental Management
- Support environmental monitoring, reporting, and compliance activities.
- Coordinate waste management and sustainability initiatives.
- Assist with environmental improvement projects and documentation updates.
- Monitor environmental performance indicators and support reporting obligations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering, environmental, quality, or related discipline.
- Relevant health, safety, environmental, or quality certifications preferred.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a QHSE, SHEQ, EHS, HSEQ…, or similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with management systems such as ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, auditing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business systems.
Languages & Travel:
- Fluent Dutch, strong English communication skills; additional languages may be advantageous.
- Occasional travel may be required.
