Bleckmann has developed a global framework of H&S standards and procedures which it aims to implement over the coming 5 years. As our operations move towards a similar level of risk control, we are looking for an H&S professional with a strong auditing background who can conduct process-based audits across 40 sites located in Spain, England, The Netherlands, Belgium, and the U.S.
As a Global Health & Safety Auditor, you will be responsible for establishing and executing a global audit program across Bleckmann’s international operations. You will assess compliance with H&S standards and procedures, support continuous improvement, and provide assurance on the effectiveness of risk controls throughout the organization.
You will work closely with site leadership teams and key stakeholders while providing an independent view on Health & Safety performance and compliance.

Establish a global audit program

Conduct on-site audits in accordance with the audit program

Track and enforce the closure of findings with auditees
-
Report on overall assurance results to the Global H&S Director

Conduct process-based audits across Bleckmann sites
-
Assess compliance with Health & Safety standards and procedures
-
Evaluate the effectiveness of risk controls and management systems

Provide objective findings and improvement recommendations

Work closely with auditees and site management teams

Support stakeholders in understanding audit outcomes

Explain how to take auditees along and motivate improvement

Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the organization

Experience as a H&S professional

Experience in auditing H&S management systems

Professional certification in the field of H&S management

IRCA Certification as an ISO 45001 Lead Auditor

Sound knowledge of Holnagel’s Safety II and Safety I philosophy

Thorough understanding of Dekker’s Safety Differently
-
Ability to explain how to take auditees along and motivate improvement

Willing to travel >50% of the time

Fluent in English

Certified coach

Proficiency in the following languages:
