About the role:
As Events & Communications Manager, you will lead the strategic planning, delivery, and communication of all wellbeing‑related events, initiatives, and engagement activities across the corporate estate - including Fitness, Wellness, and wider colleague services.
You will be responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive communications strategy, coordinating high‑impact events, and driving initiatives that strengthen community, connection, and colleague engagement. Your responsibilities:
Internal Communications — Develop, write, edit, and design compelling content that promotes the Wellbeing Strategy and aligns with broader corporate objectives.
Engagement Strategy — Build and execute communication and engagement plans that enhance visibility, reputation, and employee participation across all wellbeing services.
Events Calendar — Deliver an annual programme of onboarding events, wellbeing campaigns, workshops, webinars, seminars, and team‑building activities that foster community and support employees and colleagues development.
Team‑Building & Community Initiatives — Create and coordinate initiatives that strengthen connection, collaboration, and culture across the organisation.
Event Operations — Manage end‑to‑end event production including planning, logistics, vendor management, stakeholder coordination, and onsite delivery.
Workshops & Seminars — Organise and coordinate educational sessions, wellbeing seminars, and professional development workshops, ensuring seamless execution and high engagement.
Channel Management — Clearly communicate all events and activities across approved internal channels (intranet, email, noticeboards, digital screens, social platforms) to maximise awareness and participation.
Content Production — Produce high‑quality copy for intranet pages where needed, newsletters, banners, and digital assets.
Stakeholder Communications — Maintain consistent, accurate, and brand‑aligned communication with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients.
Data & Insights — Analyse engagement data and market trends to recommend innovative approaches and optimise communication channels.
Digital Presence — Oversee the design, maintenance, and content strategy for wellbeing intranet pages and social media presence.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration — Partner with internal communications teams and Heads of Department to ensure timely rollout of new services and initiatives.
What you’ll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, Events Management, or related field
Proficiency in graphic design platforms (e.g., InDesign, Photoshop, etc)
Minimum 3 years’ experience in events, communications, marketing, or branding
Proven ability to independently plan, deliver, and evaluate events and engagement initiatives
Experience managing suppliers, budgets, and multi‑stakeholder projects
Knowledge of corporate wellbeing, fitness, health clubs ideally
Project Management — Highly organised with strong planning, prioritisation, and administrative capabilities
Communication Excellence — Clear, concise written, verbal, and visual communication skills with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients
Stakeholder Engagement — Ability to build strong relationships at all levels and maintain open communication
Event Production — Skilled in creating proposals, timelines, budgets, and supplier briefs
Operational Ownership — Comfortable producing SOPs and managing full event lifecycles
Resilience & Adaptability — Able to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver to high standards
Team Collaboration — Energetic, proactive, and team‑oriented with a strong understanding of brand activation and colleague engagement
Community Building — Passionate about creating initiatives that bring people together and strengthen organisational culture
