Arnold & Porter is seeking a Junior Associate for its Life Sciences & Healthcare Regulatory practice for our Brussels office.
The renowned Arnold & Porter Life Sciences & Healthcare Regulatory practice help clients navigate the extensive regulatory controls in Europe over research and development, clinical trials, manufacturing, import, marketing and promotion of medicinal products (including biologicals) and medical devices, and to engage successfully with the European and national authorities and other regulatory bodies that supervise the application of these controls. We have unrivalled experience assisting clients in steering applications for authorisation of medicinal products through the centralised, decentralised, and mutual recognition systems, and in advising on the complexities of the rules governing orphan medicinal products and those concerned with paediatric investigation plans and the related incentives and rewards. Our team is a leader in dealing with pricing and procurement rules and reimbursement issues for medicinal and medical products, and in helping clients to demonstrate the clinical and cost-effectiveness of their products before relevant national administrative bodies. Where companies need to assert their rights in litigation, we have extensive experience in conducting proceedings on behalf of companies before the Court of Justice of the European Union.

Qualified applicants for this position must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in EU medicinal products and medical devices regulatory regime, including experience in a pharmaceutical company, medical devices manufacture or specialised private practice team. We are looking for candidates with strong research, writing and analytic skills, an ability to work independently and creatively, as well as an ability to work successfully as part of a team. All applicants should have excellent academic credentials and references. Work experience in the European Commission DG SANTE or the European Medicines Agency will be of particular interest.
Applicants must be licensed to practice law in the EU and able to register as lawyer in Belgium.
