Overview:

Fluxys is an international energy infrastructure group with 1,300 employees active in gas transmission & storage and liquefied natural gas terminalling.

As a purpose-led company, we’re committed to fast-track the shift to a carbon neutral world. We explore new technologies and invest in infrastructure to accommodate hydrogen, biomethane, CO2 and other molecules for a climate neutral future.

The Zeebrugge LNG terminal is Northwest Europe’s gateway for supplies of LNG (liquefied natural gas). LNG unloaded at the terminal can be reloaded in liquid form for consumption worldwide or redelivered in gaseous form for consumption on the Belgian market, trading on the Zeebrugge Hub or transportation to other end-user markets in any direction: France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Southern Europe and the UK.

Our Zeebrugge LNG terminal is looking for a Technician Electricity & Instrumentation (m/f/x).

Job purpose

This vacancy is part of a series of government initiatives to promote the employment of certain groups of people who have fewer opportunities on the labor market. Several categories have been defined for this purpose: the long-term unemployed, the low-skilled, candidates over 45 years of age, recipients of an integration allowance, people returning to work and job-seekers with disabilities. Fluxys is a partner in the project by offering disadvantaged people in the labor market the opportunity to gain experience and receive practical training.

Your responsibilities

Working alone, you will carry out minor preventive or corrective maintenance work on the electrical equipment and on the LNG terminal's electrical, electronic and/or pneumatic circuits and devices
You will assist your colleagues with tasks requiring two people
You will perform inspections and measurements
You will help resolve minor faults to ensure continued efficient operations
You will report on the work carried out

About you

A high school degree in electricity, electronics, cooling technology or instrumentation, or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in electricity or maintenance work
Good interpersonal and communication skills which allow you to work both in a team and alone.
The highest attention for working safely
A very good grasp of Dutch and a good command of English
A category B driving lice
