For an international player in the industrial sector, we are looking for an experienced Freelance Payroll Specialist to temporarily strengthen the internal payroll team. In this role, you will report directly to the Payroll Manager.
Your responsibilities:
- Supporting the end-to-end payroll cycle for approximately 400 employees (blue- and white-collar) in collaboration with SD Worx.
- Ensuring the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of data in SD Worx and SAP SuccessFactors.
- Monitoring, analyzing and optimizing the time and attendance system.
- Identifying and analyzing anomalies within payroll processes and system configurations while contributing to sustainable solutions.
- Initiating and implementing process improvements with a strong focus on efficiency, quality and automation.
- Preparing and maintaining operational documentation and SOPs while contributing to knowledge sharing within the payroll team.
- Supporting the harmonization of payroll and HR administrative processes across multiple sites to ensure consistency and operational excellence.
- Acting as the main point of contact for employees and management regarding payroll-related questions.
- Preparing accurate payroll reports and providing relevant analyses to management.
- Contributing to a variety of payroll and HR projects, including salary indexations, recovery hours, voluntary overtime, work regulations, tax audits, mobility, onboarding, training and other related initiatives.
- Providing support with general HR administration where required.
Your profile:
- Proven experience with end-to-end payroll processing, time and attendance systems and payroll process optimization within a complex organization.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors and/or within an industrial manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
- Solid knowledge of Belgian social legislation and payroll regulations.
- Fluent in French and English.
- A proactive, hands-on and service-oriented mindset.
