Your Function
The Trade Marketeer is responsible for translation of the global Trade marketing strategy of the Van de Velde brands at our wholesale partners. As Trade Marketeer you translate the global brand marketing strategy into an activation plan for our wholesale partners. Your key task is focused on driving sell out through impactful activations and strong visibility of our brands, both online & offline.

You report to the Trade & Retail Marketing Manager and work closely together with other departments within the marketing team and other departments such as the sales team, customer service team and procurement team.
RESULT AREAS
1. Development, budgeting, planning & implementation of our global marketing activation plan for wholesale partners
Global activation strategy & planning: Define and drive the global marketing activations for wholesale partners, translating the 360° marketing strategy into high-impact online and offline initiatives that strengthen brand presence, consumer engagement and sell-out performance.
Scalable local marketing framework: Develop and continuously optimize the local marketing toolbox based on retail insights, market learnings and best practices, enabling partners to effectively deploy their sell-out budgets while ensuring consistency with the global brand strategy.
Partner engagement & B2B communication: Shape the B2B marketing communication strategy for our wholesale partners, ensuring partners are informed, inspired and equipped to activate key brand and commercial priorities.
Content Platform owner: Activate our content platform (VDV media).
Performance & continuous improvement: Leverage partner feedback, activation results and retail insights to identify opportunities, define best practices and continuously strengthen the global wholesale activation model.
2. Point-of-Sale Marketing & Process Optimization
Point-of-Sale (POS) strategy & brand consistency: Lead the development of physical marketing materials used—such as displays, signage, and other in-store brand assets—ensuring they consistently reflect the brand identity across markets and partners.
POS innovation & optimization: Continuously improve the POS offering & process based on feedback from partners, market needs and emerging retail and sustainability trends, with the aim of increasing relevance, efficiency and in-store impact.
End-to-end project management: Manage the planning and delivery of seasonal and ongoing POS materials, including creative briefing, supplier coordination, budgeting, forecasting, internal approvals, production, delivery and implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and according to quality standards.
3. Sales Enablement
Constructively challenge: Serve as a critical sparring partner to sales by constructively challenging assumptions, proposals and ways of working, bringing a strong marketing, brand and customer perspective to commercial decision-making.
Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with the sales excellence coordinator to create compelling marketing pitches and sales stories that resonate with partners and drive sales.
Sales support: Responsible for the sales tools for our sales representatives to sell our collections
4. Build & maintain strong relationships across departments
Relationship building: Build and maintain strong relationships across Marketing, Sales, Customer Service and V/Academy to strengthen collaboration and develop impactful, commercially relevant activations.
Insight sharing: Actively gather insights from retail partners, field visits and market interactions, and translate these into relevant learnings and recommendations for marketing and sales stakeholders.
Stakeholder alignment: Proactively connect and align with key stakeholders to ensure clear priorities, efficient decision-making and smooth execution of the marketing plan
Your Profile

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communication or a related field

3 years of experience in marketing, preferably in the retail, fashion, or luxury goods industry. Or relevant experience in Key Account Management.

Proven track record of developing and/or executing comprehensive marketing plans.

Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Google Analytics, PowerBi and other business intelligence tools.

Languages: You are fluent in English (knowledge of Dutch, German and French is a plus).
