Are you a tax specialist or legal professional with expertise in tax law looking for a new challenge in your area? Then you might be the employment advisory consultant we're looking for.

At Tax and Legal Services, we provide comprehensive tax and legal support to businesses. Through a strong local presence and multidisciplinary approach, we understand our clients' needs and offer pragmatic solutions.

As an employment advisory consultant, you'll be part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of tax specialists and employment lawyers. You'll be the strategic and tactical sparring partner for a broad and diverse client base of startups, scale-ups, SMEs, and (inter)national private enterprises. Together with your team, you'll advise and support clients daily on complex national and international employment-related and tax matters.

Your responsibilities:

You guide clients through the tax & social aspects of cross-border employment, salary splits, the Belgian expatriate regime, the interpretation of double taxation treaties, and much more. You advise on compensation & benefits, equity incentives (e.g., stock options), intellectual property rights, etc.
You advise and guide clients on complex personal income tax returns, tax audits, objections, and ruling requests.
You manage and coordinate complex international payroll matters with Belgian and foreign partners.
You build sustainable relationships with our clients.
You work closely with your fellow experts in our multidisciplinary team to offer integrated solutions to our clients.
You coach and supervise junior team members on a daily basis to develop their talents optimally.
You identify trends, optimize internal processes, and translate complex legislation into innovative, added-value solutions for the client.
You actively contribute to building our expertise through external training, presentations, and research.

Let's talk about you

You hold a Master's degree in Taxation, Law, or Economics with a specialization in taxation.
You have at least 3 years of relevant experience in personal income tax and international employment (for example, within a payroll administration firm, as a consultant, in-house counsel, or attorney).
You have in-depth expertise in personal income tax, international employment, and payroll taxation.
You have a strong affinity with numbers for accurately preparing/managing gross-to-net calculations, payroll cost simulations, and tax equalization calculations.
You are client-focused and effortlessly translate complex matters into clear, strategic, and actionable solutions for the client.
You build trust quickly, listen proactively to client needs, and act as an enterprising sparring partner.
You have an open, flexible, and hands-on attitude.
You are eager to learn, take initiative willingly, and want to invest in a work environment full of opportunities.
You work from one of our offices in East or West Flanders.
You communicate fluently in Dutch and have good professional English. Knowledge of French is a plus.
