About ENTSO-E
ENTSO-E is the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity. We coordinate the cross-border system operations, system development and electricity market activities of the 40 electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) which cover 36 countries. The ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels provides support on technical, market and policy developments for all European TSOs in their cooperation with each other, in their joint fulfilment of their legal mandates, and in the intensive interactions with EU decision-makers, regulatory agencies, associations representing network users and other stakeholders.

Job description
As a Market Design Senior Specialist, you will lead and coordinate ENTSO-E activities on market design, while supporting broader market & operations work including offshore, flexibility and demand response.
You will play a key role in supporting European market design initiatives related to capacity mechanisms, flexibility, renewable energy integration, sector integration, offshore market design, congestion management and locational signals. A key dimension of the role is the ability to work effectively in a complex multi-stakeholder environment, facilitating technical discussions and building alignment among TSOs.
You will work in the ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels, collaborating closely with internal teams, TSOs and external stakeholders. Occasional travel may be required.
Your responsibilities
Your responsibilities will vary based on project priorities and may include, but are not limited to:
Leading ENTSO-E activities on electricity market design, including flexibility and demand response
Supporting implementation of the Capacity Allocation and Congestion Management Network Code and of the Demand Response Network Code for market design related methodologies, terms and conditions
Supporting the Market Design and Renewables Working Group (WG MDRES) on RES integration, flexibility, capacity mechanisms, sector integration, congestion management and locational signals
Preparing position papers, reports, consultation responses, presentations and decision materials
Organising and facilitating meetings and workshops, including agendas, presentations, decision-making and follow-up actions.
Managing relationships and coordinating exchanges with ACER, the European Commission, regulatory authorities and relevant stakeholder associations.
Supporting Market Committee preparation, session files and decision tracking
Reporting progress, risks and challenges to relevant ENTSO-E structures and section management
Collaborating across Secretariat sections and association bodies to ensure alignment
Supporting Market & Operations daily activities and ENTSO-E annual work programme deliverables
Your profile
We are looking for a motivated candidate with the following skills and abilities:
Master’s degree in economics, engineering, energy studies, public policy or another relevant field, with 5-8 years of relevant experience
Strong understanding of the European regulatory framework, electricity market design, market integration principles and power systems.
Solid knowledge of capacity mechanisms, congestion management flexibility, demand response, renewable energy integration and offshore market design arrangements
Experience in stakeholder management and coordination in complex multi-stakeholder environments
Ability to facilitate expert discussions, build alignment and translate complex topics into clear outputs
Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently and in team setting with competing deadlines.
Proactive and results-oriented attitude.
