About NGDATA
NGDATA is a leading software provider powering client interactions through our state-of-the-art
Intelligent Engagement Platform (IEP). This software helps banks and other financial institutions turn customer data into more relevant, timely and personalised interactions.
We are an international technology company with close-knit teams working together across the globe from locations in the USA, Belgium and India. As we continue to strengthen our Product Engineering organisation, we are looking for a Product Delivery Manager to help our people and delivery processes scale effectively.
About Our Product
Our Intelligent Engagement Platform brings together customer, account and transaction data from the systems financial institutions already use. Marketing and customer engagement teams can use this data for analytics, segmentation and targeted engagement across channels, supported by AI-driven models such as churn-risk prediction.
The platform is a mature, business-critical product built primarily in Java and rooted in the Hadoop ecosystem. It is delivered both as a SaaS solution for community and regional banks in the United States and through enterprise deployments in customer-managed environments.
About This Role
As Product Delivery Manager, you will lead and support a team of approximately 15 talented people, including backend, frontend, QA and integration specialists. You will combine direct people management with delivery coordination, capacity planning and continuous improvement.
You will report to the CTO and work closely with the Director of Product, who owns product direction and prioritisation, with our QA Manager, and with our Principal Engineers, who provide technical and architectural leadership.
Our delivery model is pragmatic rather than textbook Scrum or Kanban. Work moves through a continuous flow, with different product components operating on their own release cadences. We are therefore not looking for someone to impose a prescribed framework. We want an experienced delivery leader who can understand how our teams work, retain what works well and introduce practical improvements where they add value.
What You Will Do
1. People Leadership-
People Management: Lead and support your team through regular one-to-ones, performance management, engagement and employee wellbeing.
-
Career Development & Coaching: Support individual growth through development plans, career conversations, performance reviews and ongoing professional coaching.
-
Collaboration with Principal Engineers: Work closely with the Principal Engineers to ensure that performance and development discussions reflect both delivery contribution and technical growth.
2. Delivery & Process Optimization-
Delivery Facilitation: Facilitate the team’s recurring delivery routines, including regular stand-ups and team syncs, backlog refinement, retrospectives and planning discussions. Ensure that priorities, estimates, dependencies and capacity are visible and understood.
-
Pragmatic Process Improvement: Improve our hybrid delivery model by identifying bottlenecks, clarifying ownership and introducing practices that improve flow and predictability.
-
Workflow and Tooling: Maintain the operational configuration and integrity of Jira, ensuring that workflows and reporting provide a reliable view of work in progress.
-
Input and Output Quality: Help ensure that requirements, dependencies and technical inputs are available when teams need them, and that relevant design and technical documentation remains aligned with implementation.
3. Capacity Planning & Insights-
Resource Forecasting: Build a reliable view of team capacity, planned work, operational commitments and upcoming delivery needs, using Jira and relevant time-management tools.
-
Delivery Forecasting: Support realistic delivery planning by bringing together capacity, dependencies, historical throughput and known technical constraints.
-
Delivery Insights: Establish useful and proportionate reporting on delivery flow, such as cycle time, throughput and work in progress, to support continuous improvement and identify systemic bottlenecks.
4
. Team Enablement & Modern Tooling-
Developer Experience (DX): Identify and remove administrative, process and tooling friction that makes it harder for engineers and QA professionals to do effective work.
-
Continuous Improvement: Support teams in evaluating and adopting tools or practices that improve collaboration, quality and productivity.
-
Modern Tooling: Encourage the thoughtful use of modern developer productivity tools, including AI-assisted development tools where they provide clear value.
-
Onboarding: Improve engineering onboarding so that new colleagues can become familiar with the product, codebase, tools and ways of working more quickly.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination-
Delivery Coordination: Coordinate delivery dependencies across Product Management, Engineering, QA and SaaS Operations, ensuring that risks, blockers and ownership are visible.
-
Delivery Readiness: Work with Product and technical stakeholders to ensure that incoming work is sufficiently clear, prioritised and supported by the necessary requirements, estimates and dependencies before implementation begins.
-
Planning Partnership: Provide Product and leadership with a realistic view of capacity, delivery impact and sequencing, while Product Management retains ownership of product direction and prioritisation.
What You Bring
Background / Experience-
Experience: 5+ Years of experience in software delivery, engineering management or a comparable leadership role within a product software organisation.
-
People Leadership: Demonstrated experience directly managing software developers, QA professionals or comparable technical teams, including performance management, career development, coaching and employee engagement. Experience with distributed or hybrid teams is valuable.
-
Technical Background – Preferred: Previous experience as a software engineer, QA professional or in another technical software role is an advantage. Candidates should in all cases be comfortable working with technical teams, understanding software-delivery challenges and engaging in discussions about dependencies, quality and technical constraints.
-
Methodology Expertise: Strong understanding of agile and flow-based delivery principles, combined with the judgement to adapt practices to the needs of the team rather than applying a framework rigidly. Comfortable using Jira or comparable delivery-management tools to maintain workflow visibility, support planning and produce useful delivery insights.
-
Developer Empathy & DX: Strong empathy for the day-to-day experience of software development and QA teams, with a practical focus on removing process, tooling and organisational friction. Curiosity about modern engineering and productivity tools, including the thoughtful use of AI-assisted development tools where appropriate.
Personal Competences-
Analytical Mindset: Strong data-driven approach to capacity planning, resource forecasting, and performance metrics. Comfortable working with delivery and capacity data to support realistic planning, identify bottlenecks and improve predictability.
-
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to create alignment, make complex delivery issues understandable and challenge priorities or assumptions constructively.
Language Requirements-
Full professional fluency in English is required, with additional fluency in Dutch being a significant advantage.
What We Offer-
A high-impact leadership role: You will have genuine ownership, autonomy and the mandate to improve how our Product Engineering organisation works. Your ideas will be heard, and you will have the opportunity to make a visible and lasting contribution.
-
A pragmatic environment: We care more about outcomes than rigid methodologies. You will have the freedom to retain what works, challenge what does not and introduce improvements that genuinely help our teams.
-
A global, close-knit team: Work with talented colleagues around the world who take ownership, support one another and care about delivering high-quality work.
-
Trust and flexibility: Our informal culture gives you the space to do your best work without unnecessary hierarchy or micromanagement.
-
Room to grow: We value initiative, curiosity and continuous improvement. As the organisation evolves, you will have opportunities to shape both the role and the way we work.
-
A flexible hybrid model: Work remotely up to four days per week, with one regular office day. You are always welcome to spend more time in the office, but it is not required.
-
A competitive package: We offer a competitive salary, a company car with charging card, meal vouchers, group and hospitalisation insurance, net allowances, a mobile phone subscription and additional benefits.
