We are looking for a Managing Director - Energy to join our Energy department based in Louvain-la-Neuve.

As a Managing Director - Energy, you will bridge strategic vision with hands-on operational delivery. You will lead a high-performing team, scale our software and complex solution offerings across Europe and expand our presence in the US and Asia, and nurture deep relationships across the energy ecosystem.
What you’ll do
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

Define & Execute BU Strategy: Translate macro energy transition trends and high-level company goals into an actionable growth strategy and high-performance operations.

Drive New Ventures & Initiatives: Spearhead entrepreneurial growth projects (such as pulling new strategic initiatives off the ground) from concept to commercial execution.

Complex Solution Selling & Market Expansion: Drive complex B2B enterprise software and solution deals with key energy market stakeholders globally.
Ecosystem & Industry Credibility

External Thought Leadership: Serve as a credible, inspiring ambassador for N-SIDE in the European and global energy landscape

Network & Partnership Development: Leverage and expand a strong professional network across TSOs, DSOs, power exchanges, utilities, and regulatory bodies across Europe, the US, and emerging markets.

About you
Must-Have Qualifications

Energy Sector Pedigree : Deep expertise and credibility in the energy sector, with a strong understanding of European electricity markets (knowledge of US and Asian markets is a strong plus).

Software / Solution Track Record: Proven background in B2B enterprise software, complex solution selling, or product-driven businesses within or closely aligned with the energy industry.

Engineering or Technical Foundation: An educational or professional background in Engineering or a closely related technical field, enabling easy collaboration with technical experts and researchers.

International Leadership Experience: Proven success leading international teams, managing global accounts, or driving cross-border business expansion.

Leadership & High EQ: Demonstrated ability to build, inspire, and manage high-performing teams with an empowering, inclusive, and unifying leadership style.

Entrepreneurial Mindset: Hands-on drive with experience building new business lines, launching products, or scaling operations.

Location: Based in Belgium (or fully committed to relocating) with presence at the N-SIDE headquarters.
