We are looking for lawyers with a passion for banking and finance law for our Brussels office. As a (Junior) Associate in banking and finance law at Monard Law, your role will be to provide legal expertise and advice to clients in the banking and finance sector. You will be responsible for handling complex legal matters relating to banking regulation, financial transactions, compliance and litigation. Your duties will also include drafting contracts, analysing financial agreements, staying abreast of legislation and representing clients in negotiations or court proceedings.
- Handling files from A to Z. The compact size of the team allows you to be assigned more responsibilities;
- Providing constructive, pragmatic solutions by thinking creatively and out-of-the-box with your client and giving them substantial added value.
- Ensuring clear communication with clients and building good relationships with them;
- Help build the future of Monard Law.
- You hold a Master’s degree in Law from a Belgian university; preferably graduated with distinction. Additional training is an added bonus!
- You ideally have 3-4 years of relevant work experience in banking and finance law, but do not hesitate to also apply if you have slightly less experience.
- You are fluent in Dutch with a very good knowledge of French and English.
- Good knowledge of banking laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.
